The Maserati Quattroporte is Maserati's flagship vehicle. The Maserati Ghibli, a Libyan Arabic name for the "hot dry south westerly wind of the Libyan Desert", was first unveiled at the 1966 Turin Motor Show. Primitively a 2-Door Coupe, the new third-generation Maserati Ghibli (M157) has evolved into a four-door saloon. On equal footing with the Maserati Quattroporte, the Maserati Ghibli also comes standard with impressive Italian styling, carefully crafted comfort, and the choice of a 3.0L Twin-Turbo V6 Engines and 3.8L and a 3.8L V8 Engine with many outputs.
For starters, the sixth-generation Maserati Quattrporte is a full-size sedan, and the third-generation Maserati Ghibli is a mid-size sedan. In light of this, the Maserati Ghibli has a 118-inch wheelbase, and the Maserati Quattroporte has a 124.8-inch wheelbase. Additionally, the Maserati Quattroporte's total length is 207.2-inches and the Maserati Ghibli's total length is 195.7-inches. As far as the height goes, the Maserati Quattroporte's total height is 58.3-inches, and the Maserati Ghibli's total height is 57.5 inches. Finally, the Maserati Quattroporte's overall width (with side mirrors) is 87.2-inches, and the Maserati Ghibli's overall width is (with side mirrors) is 83.8-inches.
All in all, the new sixth-generation Maserati Quattroporte is slightly bigger than the Maserati Ghibli.

At the top of it's class, the Maserati Ghibli Trofeo comes standard with a 580 horsepower V8 engine with 538 lb.-ft. of torque, a max speed of 203 mph, and it accelerates from 0-60 in 4.0 seconds.
The Maserati Quattroporte also offers an impressive range peak outputs. At the base level, the Maserati Quattroporte come standard with a 424 horsepower 3.0L Twin-Turbocharged V6 engine with 428 lb.-ft. of torque, max speed of 179 mph and a 5.0 second 0-60 acceleration. For more power, the Maserati Quattroporte Trofeo employs a 580 horsepower V8 engine with 538 lb.-ft. of torque, a max speed of 203 mph, and accelerates from 0-60 in 4.2 seconds. Add in the Skyhook performance suspension, and electronic damping, if you've got the ultimate driving experience.
In short, the Maserati Quattroporte come standard with a higher peak output than the Maserati Ghibli. The Maserati Quattroporte also comes standard with more road handling features.
